Difference between curtain rods and curtain tracks:

Curtain rods:

Curtain tracks:
Curtain tracks are small items used to hang curtains with the help of gliders. They are also called traverse rods and they too come in different sizes, patterns.

Difference between curtain rods and curtain tracks :

1. The length: The length of the curtain rods are usually designed for shorter and moderate distances. They can be used for wider length also provided with more brackets comparatively, curtain tracks can be used to hang curtains for a longer distance or width.

2. The position: curtain rods are usually placed at a point higher than the position of windows, in contrast, curtain tracks don’t need to be positioned higher than the windows as they will get hidden behind the curtain as they blend well with the walls.

3. Type of curtains: If you want to add any decorative element to the window you can choose curtain rods, and if you just want to hang the curtains and want a simple look you can go for curtain tracks.

4. Curtain weight: curtain rods are meant only for lightweight curtains like the sheers, net. Whereas, curtain tracks are used for both lightweight and heavyweight curtains.

5. Windows size and shape: curtain rods can be used for windows of normal and standard sizes whereas curtain tracks can be used for windows that are at height as they have motorized options to pull the curtains

6. The location: In general both the curtain rods, tracks can be installed anywhere but installing the curtain tracks in bedrooms is more ideal as they block the complete light from the window

7. Visibility: curtain rods are visible enough and are supported by brackets attached to the wall also it can be added with decorative items to look more attractive whereas curtain tracks are not visible and are hidden behind the curtains.
